Profile

  • You speak Dutch and are fluent in English, with a good working knowledge of French
  • You ideally have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in employment law
  • You hold a Belgian law degree with strong academic results
  • You have excellent legal reasoning skills, a creative mindset and the ability to take initiative
  • You are recognized for your accuracy, rigor, and effective communication skills.
  • You are available, responsive, and enjoy working collaboratively as a team player.

Main responsibilities

  • Advise international and national companies in several areas of employment law, focusing on collective and individual employment law
  • Cooperate with the various foreign CMS law firms and the different CMS Belgium departments, to experience the multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary approach of cases
  • Take ownership of your cases from day one with a satisfying balance of independence and partner’s guidance
  • Assist to client meetings and calls, ensuring a high level of client service and building trusted relationships
  • Represent clients in court, with opportunities to gain hands-on pleading experience.
